On the go lunches

I need some on the go lunch ideas that I don't have to heat up and can eat straight out of my lunch box. Looking for ideas that I can eat while driving (due to my job I rarely get a "lunch break" but still have to eat) and some ideas for the days I have a little time to where I can pull over and actually enjoy my lunch.

Thank you.

Salad wraps (either wrapped in rice wraps or in lettuce) are a good meal to eat on-the-go. You can fill them with almost anything.

I also like the standard cut cheese, crackers, and veggies.

Peanut butter and banana wrapped in a tortilla has a good macro mix.

Last car food I packed was a turkey and cheese sandwich (on a hoagie roll) and a container or sliced cucumbers, baby carrots and cherry tomatoes with salt, pepper and some apple cider vinegar on them. It was pretty filling with all the vegetables.

Tuna salad or chicken salad inside a lettuce wedge. I pack it everyday and eat it on my lunch breaks at school. Not messy at all and filling. Also very low in carbs.

Sushi rice salad or taco salad are good choices.

Sweet potato quesadillas: tortilla, black beans, low fat cheese, mashed sweet potato with cumin & cinnamon. Tasty heated back up in the toaster over, but I think delicious right out of the lunch box, too!

Not sure what your job is but, legally you should be allowed the time. Of course I can relate, because there were many times I ate while driving. Some sandwiches are less messy than others, and may need both hands to manage, so I avoided those. Anything that's wrapped would be quite easy to handle. Other than that, it was sometimes just a piece of cake or a pack of biscuits.

Please do not eat while driving. It is not safe. If you are driving on company time the company can be sued if you get into an accident because you are distracted. This is reason enough for your boss to allow you a few moments to safely consume your lunch.

Agreed. There has been a couple of people in my state charged recently for eating ridiculous things in their car whilst driving (cereal and milk was one...). Not worth it imo! (for the safety of everyone on the road and the cost of the fine)

Perhaps have a protein bar, protein drink or snacks you can quickly eat before driving.
