Activity Level

I'm just a little confused on this, I spend most if not all day on my feet then go home and do my Insanity workout. So what should I put as my activity level?

    What is your job? That is what will determine your activity level, not exercise. Being on your feet all day is too vague of a description.

    Well I walk around alot, it's a uniform making factory, requires some heavy lifting but i stay in one area for most of the day sorting fabric and putting it on shelves.... So my activity level does not take into account my exercise?

    My problem with my activity level is that my job (working at the zoo) often fluctuates. Sometimes I'm on my feet reading tickets. Others I'm sitting at a register making tickets. Others I'm renting and cleaning out strollers then stacking them. Still others I'm walking around outside directing people to booths. I also am taking an archaeology field class where we spend four hours a week digging and sieving dirt. So far I'm listed as lightly active as I figure the extra calories from my field class is balanced out by my more sedentary work. Also, my semester is nearly over but I'm not sure if I'll continue the field work as a volunteer.

    Correct - it's the big difference between this site and others that do lump exercise and activity together.

    I count myself as lightly active as although I have a desk job I tend to do about 15000 steps a day without exercise included.
    I think starting at lightly active is a good idea and just see how you get on. If you find you are loosing too fast or feel dreadful then increase it

    I haven't quite figured my activity level either. I work 3 days a week and am very active 10 miles a day according to fitbit. My days off I may only walk a mile or two. So I split the difference and say I'm active. 21lbs lost so far in 2 months so I guess that's right.
