I realized I eat waaaay too many carbs and usually don't hit my protein goals, even on the days I lift. Advice? Guidance? Suggestions? Trying to turn my diet around so anything is welcome!

I can't see your diary, but many people have found success by reducing the portion sizes of the higher carbohydrate foods they frequently eat and increasing the serving sizes of the higher protein foods they frequently eat. Or are you looking for suggestions for new higher protein foods to try? What are you eating now?

I make protein a priority with each meal and use carbs as a filler. I am lower carb (~125g a day) and my diary is open. Feel free to take a look for ideas.

I do the same thing. I started using purdue chicken already cooked and hard boiled eggs too..throw them both on top of my salad and trader joes protein powder in my fruit smoothies. - these are things I can do to boost my protein when im low...which is daily :D

Plan ahead. It will likely take awhile for you to really figure it out but the easiest way I've found to be sure I hit my macro goals is by taking a few minutes each night to pre-log the next day.

Also, if you drink milk and it fits in your budget, Fairlife milk is great.

To get extra protein, I have a scoop of whey powder with my breakfast (usually two hard boiled eggs, an orange and a cup of coffee). Also, my go-to snack is beef jerky. Lots of protein, just make sure to get one that’s low in added sugars.

Cottage cheese, tuna, chicken, pork loin. All low fat sources of protein. It can help to double protein serving sizes and cut one carb side from a meal.

I try to eat eggs every day and that helps. Sardines are also a great snack if you like them.

Foods with a high protein:calorie ratio so that you can most efficiently add protein within your calorie goals: skinless boneless chicken breast, most fish (even canned tuna packed in water), egg whites, and low / zero carb protein powders.
