Rampage with Dwayne Johnson; total testosterone-filled, action-packed fun, nothing too heavy. My son and I both enjoyed the movie on the IMAX screen.1

I’m thinking about seeing “A Quiet Place” next weekend. Anyone seen it?

Nope, no one.
I thought it was decent. It's an alien movie... The first half or so, when the aliens aren't really seen, was pretty good. The second half, when aliens were more prominent in the movie, was just ok.1 -

My wife and I are trying to watch every Academy Award Best Picture winner that we haven't already seen, and this was the next in line. It was the second Best Picture winner, the first "talkie" to win, and Hollywood's first all-talking musical. The movie itself is dated and lame by modern standards, but it's still interesting as a historical snapshot as it came at a time when the industry was still transitioning from silent to talking films.0 -

A Quiet Place!
Highly recommend for those who enjoy the emotional manipulation and adrenaline rush of a well-crafted horror flick/thriller. I cried. I gasped. I peed myself little. I sat tensed and totally absorbed for nearly the entire film. Yes, I rolled my eyes about some of the annoying bits (a baby box? really? Is that the best you could come up with? AND WHY AREN’T YOU WEARING MOCCASINS?)
Not the most unique monsters (Alien meets Demogorgon) or plot structure (Signs, anyone?) but so well crafted with much that was highly original and much that was just predictable enough to be extraordinarily satisfying. A fabulous distraction and reminder that my life could be much more stressful.2 -

Transformers the movie 1986 and GI joe the movie 1987. The only good movies in those franchises.0

The Leisure Seeker. It was thought provoking. I'm not a big Donald Sutherland fan, but I thought he did a great job. Helen Mirren was amazing, of course.0
