Too much work, so I don't do it very often. Also I wouldn't put mushrooms on mine.

Omellette is too much work???? Crack eggs, whisk, pour into a pan and done in 5 minutes start to finish. Thats too much work??? wow.

It's not the omelette that is the work. It's all the junk that goes in them. Clean, degill and saute mushrooms, that needs onion and garlic too. Then roasting potatoes. Then doing something to the salmon so that it's not all cold and slimy.....Now you're a bunch of knives, cutting boards and pans into the process and you've just bought yourself another half hour or 45 minutes of dishes and cleanup. That doesn't even factor in the time it takes to plan and execute the supply trip to the grocery store. Lot of work for a plate of eggs!

looks delish to me. I would add spinach, feta, tomato, to that omelette, but yeah that's my kinda breakfast. I love portabellas and I think its cool that you made em on the side.

Generally I chop up an onion and keep it in a closed container in the fridge over days, and pull out what I need. I also buy chopped garlic in a jar, so I can just pull a quick spoonful out. There are easy ways to speed all of this up :)

Green peppers can be diced and frozen for a southwestern style omelette. Please don't ever use garlic from a jar. If you need to cheat get a garlic press.

You are right. Much easier to stop by McDs or throw a box in a microwave and call it a day lol :)

Lol--that's pretty much it! Most nights I'd seriously rather scrub toilets than cook a meal. If I don't have anything handy from Sunday meal prep, takeout or delivery are my best friends!

I'm all about cutting every single second I can out of kitchen time! I pretty much won't buy a vegetable unless it comes chopped, jarred, or frozen!

I love eggs, but only when cooked at home. Have had too many eggs ,from scrambled to omelettes with clear snotty goop,
raw in other words. Cook had to have seen it & servers seem to think it’s a ha ha moment. Ugh.....
