When I was younger, I used to get into some of the dumbest situations. A friend of mine reminded me of this story the other day...so I'm gonna share it with yall. Who am I to keep the foolishness to myself??
When I was 15, I worked at TBCY Yogurt. On this particular day I was working with two other people, a girl and a guy. During the busy period, the phone rang so I went in the back to answer it. There was guy on the phone telling me that he was stationed across the parking lot with guns pointed at our store and that we’re being robbed. Of course I didn’t understand at first and he said again that he was robbing us. He said for me, the guy, and the girl to take off all of our clothes and get in the walk in freezer. So what did I do? I called the guy and the girl to the back and told them, “We’re being robbed! The guy on the phone says we need to take off our clothes and get in the freezer!” (I was almost hysterical because of the guns being pointed at us) They both stood there looking as scared as I was wondering what we should do. The customers up front are starting to yell, “hey, what are yall doing? What’s going on?” And what were we doing? You guessed it! Taking off our clothes and getting in the freezer!! And to make matters worse (yes, worse than being robbed at gunpoint over the phone) that morning after I took my shower, I realized I didn’t have any clean underwear, so all I had on under my uniform was my swimsuit! Meanwhile, I’m still holding the phone and the “robber” is saying random things that I don’t really remember…it was time for my shift to end. My mom got there and she sees all the customers up front yelling and she walks behind the counter to see what the deal is. She sees me standing in the freezer with the phone and says, “What the hell?” I say, “Momma the man on the phone is robbing us and told us to get in the freezer” She snatched the phone from me, hung it up and said, “girl put your damn clothes on and let’s go!” And just as soon as it started...the robbery was over.
