Strange weight loss

Started March 17 on 226lbs and no muscle
Starting weights and MFP April 17 and dropped to 185lbs in a few months.
2300 ish cals steadily dropped my weight to 180lbs Jan / Feb.
Been on 1900 cals and training with weights 3 or 4 times a week for a 5 weeks now.
Weight dropped from 178lbs and hovered for 2 weeks at 176lbs.
Last Sunday had an obscene quantity of Guinness watching football followed by a huge 4 hr 40th anniversary Greek restaurant meal with red wine and prosseco washing down the 950 cal desert put me on 4000 ++ cals for the day.
Monday I wasn’t hungry (surprise surprise) the day passed and I doing I hadn’t eaten anything except a protein bar in the night.... drank about 10 coffees and a gallon or so of water only.
Back to 1900 cals.
Then on Thursday my weight had dropped to 173lbs, same on Friday and Saturday
Is an obscene binge followed by a total fast day the way forward weekly?

What is your BMR and TDEE? Also is your goal to gain or lose weight - I assume gain based on where this is posted but it looks like you are interested in losing?0

Planned to slow bulk when I stabilised at 175lbs after confirmation fat % is in the right area.
At 1900 cals and 3 or 4 weight training sessions per week I have been losing 1/2 lb per week, maintaining muscle and fat % dropping slowly.

Alcohol and caffeine are diuretics. Even with the water you drank, I would say that you are probably dehydrated and therefore the loss is from the water in your muscles and skin. It often happens to me after a heavy night of drinking.0

Not surprising with the amount of liquid which the body rids itself easily. You pretty much water cut or by peeing excessively.0
