Hi all!!! Hope all of you are having an amazing Monday.i am doing great during the week and I am seeing lost in weight, but once weekends hits I am having a hard time staying focus. Specially when we have get together and events. Can you all share with me how are you overcoming this. I do so well during the week and the weekend just messes me up.

I just had one of those weekends. One strategy might be to manage your net calories by weekly totals, if you are in deficit for the week you are in deficit. The effect of a weekend binge can be mitigated by "banking" calories during the week. A thousand extra calories for Saturday night would help right? But, those binges can lead to weekday binges too so watch out. Don't let a bad Monday scale reading ruin the week (talking to myself here too).

I think you have to go into these events with a plan.

"I have 1000 calories to spend on dinner. I will have XXX and XXX and then stop."

I used to find that if I had alcohol my ability to stop eating was diminished. Maybe try that (if you drink.)

    "No, thanks," works. :)

Thank you all!!! I think I need to learn how to say NO first of all and second just choose the food wisely.

I think it's reasonable to have other foods/meal schedules on weekends/special occasions. But I never feel any need to make up for too much restriction (I don't "do well"); I aim to eat well every day, normal days as well as special days.

I've learned to plan ahead for these situations. When i know i have a gathering on a specific day I will extend my morning workout to help balance my alloted calories for the day. If not, I try to practice reasonable portion control.
