Not sharing recipes is a bummer

My husband needs a really low fat, really low carb diet which is a real balancing act. Since I don't need and shouldn't have those restrictions, I make food ahead to freeze for him using my recipes so I can control amts. I thought when we both signed up for premium and since he's an MFP friend that he could snarff recipes from my list (and cut and paste and printing is NOT a realistic option). We don't often eat the same food amd you're dooming me to having to log all his food first, let him copy mine, then erase all his and start again with my own, as if having to come up with what our dietician calls the semi impossible task of limiting both fat and carbs wasn't difficult enough. I hope someone's figured a workaround or something because it's a lot of money to pay have to resort to old school cut, paste and print.

Can you log into his MFP and input his recipes there?0

that's what i do for me and my husband I log everything as I make the food. I put everythign with a serving of the amount of grame it weight so sometimes I have a 250 serving meal and he has a 400 serving meal... he needs a lot more calories then me being a carpenter. I simply create the meals I make more often and Adjust them according to the meals I make.0

I'm guessing here, but this is worth a try:
1. Log a custom recipe on your account
2. Have your husband view your diary, and instead of copying the meal, save it as a meal to his own account.
3. Have him try logging that saved meal on a future date and see if he can change the serving size.
Your recipes should be saved as his meals, so you only need to do the log-save-delete rigamarole once (per recipe), which you can minimize by coordinating it when you initially create the recipe and you're going though all the screens anyways.0 -
If you set a password on your diary or make it public, then your husband can copy your recipe using the quick tools option.0
