Early days of strength training and DOMS

So I am in week two of my strength training program and on Monday I did deadlifting with my PT. I have woken this morning with DOMS on my lower back. I don't think it will ease come Wednesday when I am going back into the gym for my second lifting session (squats, and push.press)
In terms of optimal training, what is the best thing to do here? Rest up another day and go Thursday or go Wednesday still and go slower? - I have been told that as I progress the DOMS will be a lot easier to manage.

I deadlifted yesterday with more serious volume than usual and have extreme soreness today. This morning, I went and's benched, squatted, and rowed. You're fine. Just keep lifting. Worst thing for DOMS is inactivity.5

Great job starting a strength training program!
What I usually do with bad DOMS is drink coconut water, due to it's high potassium content. A trick I learned from bodybuilders is to drink pickle juice if you have super bad DOMS - it's not so bad if you like pickles
I would recommend to get plenty of sleep and try to rest whatever muscle group you worked for at least 24 hours. Listen to your body and decipher between good pains and injury pains; never work an injury!

Lower back DOMS are the worst! I don't put off workouts due to DOMS. Working out actually makes them feel better, usually.
I rarely get DOMS anymore, unless I take a week off or something.1 -

No, I stick to the same number of warmup sets and reps, no problem.0 -
I shall continue as normal tomorrow then. Thanks for the input.1
