This is my first day on myfitnesspal and it's great! I was diagnosed with PCOS about 8 years ago. I never gave it much thought until the last couple of years when I started realizing the longterm dangers of PCOS. I have never been able to stick with a diet or exercise program consistently. My weight goes up and down and up and down. My 'diet' recently isn't a diet at all...just eating healthy food. This makes it SO easy to track calories and relate it with my exercising. I feel hopeful for the first time in a long time that success is possible. To follow a true PCOS diet always seems incredibly overwhelming but it is necessary to live! And, the more I exercise the more I feel like eating healthy...being healthy is just basic principles but it seems to be the most difficult thing to maintain!

  • I have this same syndrome, wow add me if you like.
  • WELCOME!!! I, too, have PCOS. It is a very daunting and annoying issue to deal with. This is a GREAT site. I joined last year and didn't do anything with it, but started realizing just what was going on with my body and mind and have now made a real effort to conquer this disease. I know I will never be rid of it but I can definitely live with it, IF I get healthy. I wish you great success!!
  • I also have PCOS. I was only diagnosed this last year even after suffering through infertility. Now that I understand more about PCOS, so many things make sense about how wacky my body is.

This is a great site to help and I am probably in the best shape of my life, even post having twins!!!
