Weighing food

My question is should I weigh my food before or after I cook when I log? I usually weigh it raw and log it in. Is it different for things like chicken versus raw vegetables such as onions bell peppers and mushrooms?

Look at the entries. Generally, foods are weighed raw, but there are entries for cooked versions.1

With few exceptions, use the raw weight and be sure you are using a database entry for the uncooked item.
An example of an exception is bacon, where the label info is often for the cooked weight.1 -
I weigh everything raw and use entries for raw. I think it's more accurate as cooking time/method will affect the end weight and its harder to control2
