13lb weight loss

Hi all,

Finally started back last month on mfp after several years.Have been calorie counting - no more than 1200 calories per day. Started couch 2 5k and am now in week 2 which I do 3x a week, alongside doing weight exercises.
Anyhow managed to lose 13lb just from the above!

Not Sure how I've managed to lose so much but just wanted to share to hopefully give some motivation to others.

I'm going to start the 30 day shred tomorrow and alternate between couch 2 5k and will be posting progress results weekly.

If anyone wants to add me feel free to share tips, progress, food etc

    You don't give your stats, but it will be a lot of water weight.

    That 13lbs is about 1-1.5lbs fat and the rest is water. Still not insignificant, so good job!

    When I started losing weight, I lost about 8-10lbs a month for the first 2-3 months.. it settles out after that, especially as you get lighter and leaner.

    Your stats are important. Are you eating 1200 calories gross or net? If you're only eating 1200 gross and are exercising, then you should be eating more to prevent a large deficit and to fuel your workouts.
