Hello all,
I just started phase 1 of the South Beach Diet (again). It is a good diet and good for me but my lack of discipline after a few months (years) always brings me back to phase 1. with any good diet--I hate the word diet by the way so I'm going to use nutrition program--with any good nutrition program it is only as good as your devotion to it. So, I put crap in my mouth and it ends up as fat on my tummy. Seriously. I look 6 months preggers. I knew I'd made the right decision to go back on SB when my husband was (and is) super supportive of the effort. He hates phase one--I might get a bit crabby here and there. He never mentions weight and always makes me feel like the most beautiful creature on earth and for that I love him.
That being said. South Beach really does work! It takes the weight off of my tummy like no other eating plan ever has; and that is where I gain my weight first and foremost. So I'm going to stick with it. I'm on day 6 of Phase 1. Phase 1 is two weeks long. No sugar, pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit. So what's left? limited veggies, lean meats, and lean dairy, limited fats. Best part about it--bacon is allowed! Love bacon. Makes you feel like you aren't "dieting" at all.
So I started writing this post thinking that I would complain and wine about how I want some carbs and how crabby I feel but now, I feel better, hoping to get some of you out there to interact with me.

Hi, I'm looking at starting the SBD Phase 1. I have been tracking with MFP for a long time, but I think I need a more organized approach.
I'm going to combine this diet with Intermittent Fasting, so I will have an eating window of 6 to 8 hours per day.
Looking for support, ideas, and macros info...0 -
