Click Moment

I was watching a video where two different people said that they had that "Click Moment" where they realized something and they went on to reach their goals. I think I had my click moment, at least I hope I have. This week I have been so happy. I don't want to overeat, not even on the weekend. I have eaten Normal portions and haven't felt starved. Has anyone else felt like something clicked and the weight loss is Inevitable?
Its as if I don't ever want to Binge or eat bad food not as a rule but as a choice? I feel like I changed.

That's awesome!
What I've found about that feeling is that it waxes and wanes. Sometimes I'm 100% good to go, and sometimes I am struggling. Be ready, just in case you have the same issue and have some plan in place for down moments.4 -
Yeah, I think there are times when compliance works really well, and there are times when it doesn't. Especially at first when I felt like, "Okay. We're gonna do this."
Life happens. Perfect eating gets off track. Over eating is likely going to happen at some point, I mean life is too short to never have a huge meal and dessert ever again. There is room in a weight-loss plan for indulgence on occasion.
I regularly go over my calorie goal by 1000-1500 extra calories. Like once or twice a week. I've been at my maintenance weight for a long time and it works out. I don't beat myself up if/when I have too many ribs at a bbq, or a second or third piece of whatever or a huge steak and baked potato. Life is meant to be lived.3 -
I watched a guy eating a giant juicy pub-burger with all the trimmings and thought- YUCK!0

This. Very This. Having a plan this time around has kept me from falling into old patterns so far. Other people may not need it but occasionally food-wise I need to let out some steam and be okay with just not losing weight for the day.1 -

As long as my calories come out for the week, I am generally good about having higher calorie days. I work in a place where they are always ordering in or having pot lucks, thank goodness I prep, and I see people load their plates up with thousands of calories in food. Not even good food really IMHO. I think we have to make our splurges worth it as you say.0 -
For me, it’s ”mini clicks”. My latest one was yesterday. For the first time in a while, I paid attention to the fact that eating cookies AND dessert AND going to a coffee house for cake is too much sugar for one day, and I got a little bit nauseous. Now that I recognized how my body actually felt and why it was, I feel like I’m in a better position to think before I munch on sugary treats. The coffee house trip was planned and included in my intake plan for the day, but the cookies and dessert were extra.1

That's a cool way of saying that. Or my husband has said, "eating less is so liberating". That's a funny way of saying it, too- because you'd think that eating less is restrictive. But I get that feeling. It's like, I'm liberated from my "slavery" of over-eating. Just want to add a tiny devil's advocate though, it's so easy for me to slip back! The other day I mindlessly ate entire Dorito bag. That's something I haven't done in years. Yikes. I thought I was changed! Stay strong! Be free!0
