I am a food addict. There! I have said it. When I am "off plan" I do not and cannot control my eating. It feels like a devious monster is inside making me eat. I find myself unable to stop and don't often feel full. I must have lost more than 200 pounds over my life so far but put it all back on. So here I go again.
This time I hope it is diffrent. My daughter is my coach and I am currently "clean"! What I mean is I have been in control of my eating for 69 days and counting using this app. It is getting easier and it is working. I have lost 40 pounds so far by tracking my food and using my fit bit, just upping the walking. I probably have another 70 to go just to get into a healthy range but it is all baby steps. Would love some company on the journey.

Have you considered how/whether it is helping you to call loss of control over eating, an addiction? Just to use myself as an example - I used to demonize every food I liked, went on and off plan, and I felt like the food controlled me, instead of I controlling food intake, like I do now, eating anything I like, in moderation. Oh, and I used to be overweight, finally hit obesity; now I've been normal wieight for four years, the longest streak in my adult life.3
