Start prelogging and make sure you're including plenty of protein and good fats. Add in calorie dense snacks as needed. There's no way anyone who is overweight can't fit enough calories in to hit the 1200 mark. That 1200 mark, btw, is likely far below what you should actually be eating.

I am aldo having a hard time hitting my calorie goals, my goal is 1450, but I have a hard tiime hitting even 1000

Nothing to panic about unless it is an ongoing trend. Can you tell us what you ate today?

Are you eating all the calories at once via the eat stop eat intermittent fasting protocol? Maybe you should try breaking your calorie budget to two meals.

Avocado, hand ful of nuts/seeds on your salad, avoid using only low fat alternatives (e.g. yoghurts), a banana, handful of raisins.

simkins_mary yes it's like I'm having to force it. I think I'm going to go back to the Weight Watchers method once you feel full just stopped even if I'm not done with all of my calories.

if you are struggling - I would look at the foods you are eating - are there some that are higher volume/low calorie that you can reduce and add some foods that are higher calorie - that can help; adding oil to your cooking can help etc

If you eat a lot of nuts - I would take a look at those - they can be calorie bombs and you could be eating more than you think (personally for me, nuts are rarely worth it)

While I have the opposite problem, I would just reverse everything I do currently

Eating chicken-> eat thighs not breast
pick higher calorie meats per 100g

Making a sauce/soup/ casserole -> put in full fat sour cream/whipping cream/ instead of light sour cream/greek yogurt

Many people feel more full when eating food than drinking, so try adding in
protein shakes, smoothies with peanut butter, avocado

Perhaps there are certain foods you can eat more of that don't fill you up. For me it is cereal, I can eat like 5 bowlfuls.

Eating vegetables? Try adding a sauce on top that is heavier, creme fraiche, vodka tomato sauce, cheese sauce

Also people make things called energy balls, which have nuts and granola and seeds, and they tend to be quite high in calories for such a little ball.

What did you eat before? Add some of those foods back in to your diet.

do not use measuring cups for solids or semi solids as they will be inaccurate and off by a good bit. same with packaged food it can be off by up to 20% per serving.

Eat less broccoli and more nuts, then.
