If it's one day, I wouldn't worry about it. Regularly? Double check that everything is being logged accurately, then make sure to get some calorie dense items in to bring the count up.5
-
Yeah... you are just bragging because you are full too soon on your new skip breakfast diet plan. I won't call it IF, I just won't that is nonsense.5
-
Start prelogging and make sure you're including plenty of protein and good fats. Add in calorie dense snacks as needed. There's no way anyone who is overweight can't fit enough calories in to hit the 1200 mark. That 1200 mark, btw, is likely far below what you should actually be eating.3

Sorry to sound rude, but how on Earth can you not manage to eat even 1000 calories? You may be underestimating calories, or if you're logging and weighing accurately then there might be an underlying medical issue.11 -

Nothing to panic about unless it is an ongoing trend. Can you tell us what you ate today?1 -

It is not that hard to be under 450 calories. I am routinely under about half of that to save calories for Sunday.

I hate these threads! I swear I could eat 1200 calories for breakfast and be hungry an hour later14
-
Well, I'm sorry whitpauly you feel that way. I'm not bragging nor am I complaining I was just trying to get some suggestions so for anyone that doesn't believe me or think I'm under measuring or not keeping track I'm very diligent and that I weigh I use my measuring cup I use the scale and if those of you that want to be rude just keep on moving on my posts don't bother by even stopping to making comment thank you very much.5

I thought this was a a tool to encourage not discourage or be rude we're all striving for the same thing8

peanut butter4 -
Are you eating all the calories at once via the eat stop eat intermittent fasting protocol? Maybe you should try breaking your calorie budget to two meals.0

Avocado, hand ful of nuts/seeds on your salad, avoid using only low fat alternatives (e.g. yoghurts), a banana, handful of raisins.2
-
I honestly don't understand this phenomenon - I ate 3200cal yesterday and was starving this morning
quick calorie bombs - peanut butter, bagel w/ cream cheese, ice cream - there is nothing wrong with factoring some of that stuff into your diet8 -
Thank you motivatedmartha you're the only one that pretty much Gave Me You a supporters answer the rest of you if you can only criticize my post please don't respond13

Tirowow12385 yes I do. I measure and weigh my food. Thank you for your support2
-
simkins_mary yes it's like I'm having to force it. I think I'm going to go back to the Weight Watchers method once you feel full just stopped even if I'm not done with all of my calories.3
-
if you are struggling - I would look at the foods you are eating - are there some that are higher volume/low calorie that you can reduce and add some foods that are higher calorie - that can help; adding oil to your cooking can help etc3
-
Thank you deannafisher. I do lots of nuts broccoli beans2
-
Thank you malibu9271

If you eat a lot of nuts - I would take a look at those - they can be calorie bombs and you could be eating more than you think (personally for me, nuts are rarely worth it)2

While I have the opposite problem, I would just reverse everything I do currently
Eating chicken-> eat thighs not breast
pick higher calorie meats per 100g
Making a sauce/soup/ casserole -> put in full fat sour cream/whipping cream/ instead of light sour cream/greek yogurt
Many people feel more full when eating food than drinking, so try adding in
protein shakes, smoothies with peanut butter, avocado
Perhaps there are certain foods you can eat more of that don't fill you up. For me it is cereal, I can eat like 5 bowlfuls.
Eating vegetables? Try adding a sauce on top that is heavier, creme fraiche, vodka tomato sauce, cheese sauce
Also people make things called energy balls, which have nuts and granola and seeds, and they tend to be quite high in calories for such a little ball.2 -
Thank u kballsocc0

What did you eat before? Add some of those foods back in to your diet.1

do not use measuring cups for solids or semi solids as they will be inaccurate and off by a good bit. same with packaged food it can be off by up to 20% per serving.2 -

Eat less broccoli and more nuts, then.2 -
