When I had hit my plateau, I asked for advice as well... I was told to make sure that I was measuring and weighing every single thing that I put in my mouth. I started doing that in January and I've lost 15 lbs since then. I realized I wasn't counting my teas and condiments, the little things that I didn't think counted.. BUT THEY DID... I'm not sure if you already do that.. but if you don't, it's a GREAT start.. Just my advice.. Good luck!!

Working out is great for your health, but not necessarily going to guarantee weight loss (presuming that is your goal?)
You're in the right place though... Tracking your calorie intake (by accurately weighing solids and measuring liquids) will probably help you get over your plateau as it's calories that really matter for weight loss.0 -
As for the "motivation," how do you plan to deal with maintenance, when the scale just jumps up and down?
Stick with the program. If you aren't seeing the expected tests for several weeks, double check your logging, make sure you have updated your goals to reflect your previous losses and stick with the program.0 -
I started working out last year too! This year I started actively trying to lose weight. About a month ago, I plateaued. I completely understand your frustration. I changed my diet. I looked for different foods with comparable calories. It worked! I also noticed that I am getting better proteins, thus staying/feeling full longer. I also started working out with a buddy at CrossFit. Forcing myself to keep up with them. I used to give up when I was tired. Now, I don't want to let my buddy down, so I push myself a bit more.
Hope this helps. Don't give up. Best of luck!!!!0
