Hey y’all! I have joined this 6 week weight loss challenge with a group of family/friends! There is a a cash pot for incentive! Yay! We started on 5/1! I eat decent and have no problem sticking with a good diet but I’m curious if anyone that is trained could give me a meal plan to follow. I’m 168# i go to gym aprx 5 days a week. Thank you in advance!!!

To lose weight, you have to eat less; the less you eat, the faster you lose. The less you eat, the harder it is. The longer you eat less, the more you will lose. So what to eat, and whether or not joining a weightloss challenge is a good idea, is something you have to figure out for yourself. Weighing and logging food are good tools, and so is setting and aiming for an appropriate calorie intake, that's what MFP can help you with.

MFP has set my calorie goal at 1200 a day. My doctor has requested that I aim for 100 gm of protein a day. In order to do that, I had to increase the percentage of protein in my diet, which in turn means decreasing somewhere else. I decreased in both carbs and fats. If I aim for those macros and be sure to include fruits and vegetables, that is my food plan. No taboos, no forcing myself to eat a way I don't enjoy. I eat what I want to eat the rest of my life. All I have done, other than these macro and calorie goals, is reduce the quantity I eat. Because of blood pressure issues, I also keep my sodium to 1800 mg a day. Everybody is different, but that's my "meal plan".
