Hi, I am just joining this site.....from Houston, Tx.
Wanting to improve my health, and I was going to say keep it moving, but heck, who am I kidding - Get it moving! LOL
Not sure what to say about myself, other than I need to exercise, and improve my eating.
I love the Calorie Counter, and that's how I found it, my sister, My ONLY Sister recommended the site to me.....and I love it.
Looking forward to making myself at home.....
52 yrs old, need to lose quite a bit of weight, which I picked up about 40lbs of it in the last 4 years after my Mother passed, and need to shake off the depression. I'm working on it.....one day at a time.
Been at it so far about a week.....exercising.....eating better. Logging what I eat really changes things....WOW.

Hot as heck here in Houston....gee whiz.

Natallie.....

    Thanks for the welcome!

Are you all working out, and if so what kinds of workouts are you doing?

That Calorie Counter is making me rethink my favorite go to stress snack! Potato chips....

Houston here - for summer since it's so incredibly hot I've been biking in the evenings (try to average about 30 miles/week), swimming (beach/pool), and videos when staying inside is the best option :)
We've been doing Bob Harper's Pure Burn (there's a choice of a 20 minute or 60 minute workout) and previously did Jillian's 30 Day Shred - the best part about those is that they're short (with the exception of Bob's hour long) and I have a short attention span when it comes to stuff like that!

I also try to do stretching/yoga 2-3 times/week for something low intensity..
  • I am in Houston as well, NW. I have been working out at least 3 times a week. Either walking/jogging intervals in the early mornings/evenings or Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD (the 5 mile one) and I do at least 3 miles.

I lost over 70 lbs back in 2008, but managed to regain 30 of it and am here to re loose it. I have about 16.5 lbs to go. Good luck to everyone!!
