Sugar intake

So in this app. It says I can have 60 grams of sugar a day allowance.. But here in the UK the daily allowance of sugar is 30 grams. Is there anyway of changing this amount in the app..

    I wouldn't bother. The 60 grams includes all sugar, including that found naturally in fruit veges and dairy. The 30 grams is only added sugar and excludes natural. The only exception to this advice would be if there were a medical reason for keeping sugar low.

    So the American version will have a larger sugar intake level then.. As usa adults allowance is over 37 grams of sugar.
    Or is it 60 grams of sugar across the board in total, even though countries vary on sugar intake

    It has been set at the guidelines of a maximum of 15% of your daily allowance. This is based on WHO's recommendations of 5% of added sugar plus the natural sugar you get from natural sources.

    As explained above, the 30 g is based on added sugar only, whereas MFP's is for all sugar. Is this clear?

    You can change it, but then you might then you should avoid fruit and dairy or even veg or foods like sweet potatoes, and that would be unfortunate and is not the recommendation in either the US or UK.
