NO Calorie Noodles!!

I wanted to share this with all of you!! Amazing!! "NoOodle" is a pasta substitute that has zero calories! YES! zero! It is made with water and yam flour, which is a soluble fiber that the body doesn't absorb! They are available at certain Whole Foods stores and online at nooodle.com for $3 for a one 8oz precooked angel hair bag!!!! This was worth writing about!!! Has anyone tried them?? I am super curious about them and will definetly be buying it!

    I haven't myself but I heard they got great taste reviews...They have other flavors too, Ultra lite Primavera, Mamma Mia Marinara, say cheese please, and Terri-Yaki Chicken!

    i have them - and i LOVE them. i have the Miracle Noodle brand and they're just fine.

    now let me put this disclaimer... i haven't had a REAL noodle in a couple years because I can't have the gluten... but these are great. they remind me of a rice noodle. and i haven't tried the other options, but the angel hair is great for me. I eat them all the time.

    my advice is to follow the preparation instructions and don't go in thinking you're going to be biting into a regular wheat noodle... and you won't be disappointed.

    I have eaten them. They have spaghetti, and fettucine style. I put hot sauce or sometimes salsa on mine but they also taste fine with sea salt and pepper. They do have a few calories but no carbs or not enough to make a difference.

    I love them. My whole family eats them now.... BUT you have to drain them under cold water for a good 5 minutes to get the fishy smell out. They have no taste and they taste more like beansprouts than regular noodles. BUT are they worth the try that's for sure! You don't need to cook them..but I boil them for about 2 minutes (I just like the texture better). Just don't forget to run them under cold water first! :)

    Not sure because I never had them...Probably not but you could always add fresh veggies to it or some grilled chicken. MMM

    Smell: Yes, if you do not wash them they have a fishy smell. Run under cold water for about 5 min.


    Nutrition wise: high in fiber, no calories, no gluten or soy, no to little carbs, no sugar, etc. Basically, they are a filler that keeps you full and allows you to eat your favorite pasta items without the added calories.


    Texture: bean sprouts. I that is the best way to describe them. very long bean sprouts.


    BTW they are MUCH cheaper at Asian Markets. They are in the refrigerator section.

    Interesting. I just went went on Amazon.com to check for reviews of the product. Plenty of reviews but I get the sense that there's a lot of people that aren't taking the time to rinse it thoroughly and complaining about the fishy smell.

    RocheleLynn, I go to the asian market pretty often and I think I've had a different brand of this stuff. The texture is sorta tougher/rubbery. This stuff is more resilient to turning into amushy mess than other noodles. We made a nice stir fry and added some crushed chilli oil mixed in and didn't taste any fishiness.

    Yes, I think the biggest complaint is the smell-- so people never give them a chance. With such a simple solution too ((SMH)) haha
    Do you cook them? The longer you cook them the rubbery-er it gets. I only boil mine for a minute or two. but compared to regular noodles they are more rubbery. Kinda like pasta al dente. I like to use mine to make different stir fry's too... I also have a great soup that I love them in. :) I think they are pretty awesome and at about 1.20 a bag-- you can't go wrong! :)

    I think that every once in a while wouldn't be bad. It is worth it to not have the calories if you are a pasta lover and have cut back. It doesn't need to be an every week thing. Plus other people that have commented said you can get them for a dollar and change at asian markets so thats good to know.

    I think we boiled it for a couple seconds and then put it into the pan for a stir fry. Maybe we boiled it for too long. I'll definitely try this again. Maybe it's time to start a recipe thread for this stuff.
