Ready to kick bad habits! Hello MFP!

Hello all, I am 23 from Columbus, OH. Just graduated from OSU with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I relied on fast food and restaurants to cope with stress and school and my “freshman 15” turned into now being 45 pounds overweight. I completely believe eating huge portions out all the time is why I gained so much weight and now that I am transitioning into a full time job with a much more reasonable schedule, I am ready to get the weight off for good. I went from never cooking my first 3 years of college to cooking breakfast every day and dinner 3x per week for the last 18 weeks using the free meal planning app Mealime. I’m not sure how much progress I made during that time because of my intense fear of the scale. I only weighed myself a handful of times during all of college. But I am beyond excited to get started and dedicate time and effort to my weight loss journey. My goal is to lose one pound per week (and yes, I will weigh in!).

Would absolutely love to make some friends on here! WeddingWire forums was a huge help when I was planning a wedding - I know this will be helpful too.

A pound per week is easy. When I started I was loosing a pound per week then it turned into 2lbs per week now I'm loosing 2-3lbs every few days with diet and tons of exercise. You can do it.

I love your habit transformation! That's actually how I started too, in 2013, and I lost 50 pounds in a little over a year, and have kept them off, easily, since then.
