Current weight is 12stone 7lbs
Will be weighing myself weekly every Tuesday starting 15/05/18.
Will be posting weekly weigh ins on here. Anyone wanting to lose a similar amount want to motivate and support each other?
I would ideally like to be halfway to my target by end of August and then reach it around the time I go back to uni

Just keep in mind that as you lose weight, weightloss slows down. A good, healthy rate is up to 1% of your bodyweight per week. So 2 pounds per week is only realistic if you weigh 220 pounds or more.2

2 pounds a week is more appropriate for 75+ pounds overweight. Start with 1.5 pounds a week, and then expect slower, and slower weight loss as time goes on. Within 10-15 pounds of goal 1/2 pound a week is more realistic.
Just do the best you can. Aggressive weight loss makes it less likely to help you find (and practice) the life-long changes you will need for maintenance. A smaller you is going to require fewer calories forever.2 -

Hi! I’m IN! I’m certain I can use the motivation, and, most importantly, the support! However, my “goal weight” is YOUR CURRENT weight. I’m a 6’1 curvy female and feel most comfortable between 165 and 175 lbs. (That’s me on the right, a week ago, today). For five years, I remained about 40 lbs lighter than my current weight, under advisement of an RD; consuming between 1,100 and 1,400 calories, daily (all types of food in moderation); running 4-5 times a week (burning 2,800 calories a week). However, this year, I became lax, especially in calorie counting. As I look back, some days, I’m sure I exceeded 2,000 calories. I have an iron deficiency and receive twice-weekly infusions. However, I’ve noticed when my iron is really low, I have a lot more cravings (sugary mints, rare steaks) and I made excuses for OVERINDULGING in those temptations. But, that’s just it ... I’m making EXCUSES! The reason this weight crept up, isn’t because it TRULY crept up. I was blissfully ignorant for 300-plus BLISS FUELED days. I’d like to get on track! With the help of my RD, I rebooted a calorie-centric lifestyle, rich in protein and plant based foods. Since diet IS a four-letter word1 -
@Fat2slimstudent, is today “GO day?” How does this work? Post current weight/pic? Post goal weight? Sorry! I’m a complete newbie to this!0
