    Turn off the caps lock.

Eat lots of veggies instead, life will go on even without fruit.

At last....someone else who is allergic to fresh fruits!!! I am also allergic to fresh vegetables, artificial sweeteners, and have lactose intolerance...no wonder I have no desire to eat!

Enough about me though...what I have found is ok is the fruit cups and most fruit that is good for you can be found in the cups in natural fruit juice. Hope this helps!

I am allergic MOST fresh fruit too, especially pitted fruits such as apples, peaches, nectarines, etc.

I CAN eat the freeze dried fruit from Costco. I don't know why, but am not allergic to the dried fruit. I also can not eat walnuts. Are you able to eat banana, watermelon?

I take Juicefestiv and Fruitfestiv supplements. These are supplements that I buy from Costco. You should check these out supplements. They are great for us people who aren't able to eat lots of fruit and veggies due to allergies or just don't like them. Even though eating fresh fruits and vegetable are wonderful, if you can, however when you can not these are wonderful.

For instance, 2 capsules provides you the equivalent of eating 1/2 cup carrots, 1 mango, 9 1/2 cups bracoli, 8 bell peppers, 8 tomatoes, 8 cups of spicanch, 2 1/2 cup sweet potatos, 5 cups Papayas, 4 cups of brussels sprouts, 6 cups oat bran e.t.c. While this is not a replacement for eating the actual fruit and vegetable, it will provide more nutrients.

If you really can't tolerate fruit and veggies unless cooked, than I'm guessing you don't have an allergy, but something more akin to irritable bowel syndrome. The other possibility is oral allergy syndrome, but even then, it's highly unlikely you're allergic to all fruits.

Regardless, if you're having symptoms to a wide range of fruit and vegetables, you need to be getting your dietary advice from a nutritionist, allergist, or primary care physician and not the forums here.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but you're asking for advice on how to replace what should constitute the majority of your diet. Those are answers best received from someone with training in the medical field to ensure your own well-being. Good luck.

IM ALLERGIC TO FRESH FRUIT I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOWS WHAT I CAN TAKE AS REPLACEMENT??

I have a co-worker who has developed an allergy to fresh fruit and vegetables. Her throat will swell up if she has any. She has to keep an Epi-pen on her just in case. I believe she eats canned fruit and has to cook all her veggies. I don't know of anything that she uses for a replacement.

PLEASE TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK IT'S LIKE YELLING OVER THE INTERNET.

Can your doctor refer you to a nutritionist? Maybe a specialist, or have you allergy tested to see which fruits trigger your allergy or what specifically trigger the allergy.

I totally thought I was a freak of nature until I saw an allergist 2 years ago and he told me about Oral Allergy Syndrome. Basically there is no cure and not really anything you can do to help it - you can try taking allergy medication. I took Xyzal but it didn't help me any. Allergist said that sometimes a year of allergy shots can help you get over it, but it's not proven and I haven't tried that course yet. (yet.)

OAS really sucks. It does feel like your throat is closing up when you eat something that triggers the allergen receptors. The worst thing for me is not being able to eat fresh apples. I adore apples and sometimes I'll risk the reaction just to eat one, but it's usually not worth it.

:( My older brother has chrones disease (crones?) not sure how to spell that. Anyways-the fiber in fruit and veggies upsets him greatly so I told him to try juicing fruit n veggies-gets rid of the fiber.

But I also have a friend who has the OAS-so juicing wouldn't work for her-is it a stomach issue or throat issue??

Boy, you learn somehthing new everyday! I feel really, really bad for those of you who have to deal with this. Sounds positively awful to never be able to enjoy the goodness of fresh/raw fruits and veggies.

Do you know if this condition can be helped with allergy shots?

my sister in law has the same symptoms, and her doctor has discovered it is a yeast problem. causes pain in her throat, swelling, and even changes her voice so she sounds like a little old lady. she avoids the fruits with the most sugars, and eats more veggies. takes a multi vitamin just to be on the safe side. now and then when it flares up, due to fruit, or breads, etc, other natural sugar, she often has to do one of those cleanses you buy from the health food store.

I used to eat 2-3 apples a day until I was about 12. That's when mine hit. Totally sucks. I don't mind cooked fruit, but raw is so much better. Dangit.

Since you can have canned fruits, try draining off the syrup and rinsing them in a small colander to get rid of the extra sugar. When you say you dislike cooked fruits, do you mean by themselves, or in recipes as well? If you like cobblers, pie, etc. then you could just work small fruit desserts into your diet. And depending on how sever the reaction is and how much you like certain fruits, it may be worth it to take some benadryl a bit before you eat.
