Is it normal to lose 2 lbs the day after a cheat day? I've done this twice now, not that I'm complaining at all.

Yes, weight loss is not linear and you could lose weight just about any time as long you are at a calorie deficit most days.2

Thank you, that's good to know. It makes me worry that it will come back to bite me. I always try to drink a lot of water, but especially after a cheat day. I heard that helps.

weight management isn't really a matter of what you did yesterday impacting today...it's not a tit for tat kind of thing. weight management, including weight loss is about what is going on most of the time.2

Did your cheat day involve alcohol? I always weigh less after a boozy night as I'm dehydrated.3

I had two drinks but I also drank a ton of water.0

It's very normal that, having eaten excessively one day then at a calorie deficit for the following days, to experience 1 or more multi-pound weight losses in the first few of those following days.1

Thank you. I just hope I don’t gain it back.0

You may if it is water weight but overall weight fluctuations are something you need to get comfortable with because they will be a constant on a weight loss journey. It is possible to show up a pound on the scale while being down a pound in body fat. There are apps that track weight loss trends. Several here use one. I, personally, don't but if one of them reads this thread I am sure they will tell you what to look for.0 -
