Has anyone lost weight ever 8 days versus every 7? I think if i eat my weight loss calories 6 days then 1day i eat my maintenance, i could still lose 1 pound. I want to keep my sanity lol. Am I right in thinking this? I have read that you can do a zigzag diet but i think that's for when you have lost a lot of weight and are at a plateau.

You are overthinking it. If you're in a deficit, you aren't losing weight every eight days or every seven days -- your body doesn't measure it out like that.

If you eat at a deficit six days and then at maintenance, you're still in a deficit overall. So you will lose weight, just a bit more slowly than if you were at a deficit every single day.

Ok thank you for clearing that up for me :)

I wouldn't worry so much about it. Bodies are funny, they don't typically lose weight in a linear fashion. You may not lose any weight at all for 2 weeks, then suddenly drop 3lbs. All that matters is the overall downwards trend over months. Find a deficit that is comfortable enough for you, then stick to it! Good luck!

A deficit for 6 days and maintenance for 1 sounds reasonable and you'll still be at a deficit overall and continue to lose. If it works for you to keep on track following that schedule, then you're winning.
