How do you do this? I’ve read so much about it that my ears are bursting. What is the proper way to go about it?

    Eat at a deficit

Deficit, long term steady deficit. Exercise my help tone and speed up the process but is not required.

Eat less. You can move more, too, but first of all, eat less.

Are you using a food scale and verifying your entries in your log?

Thanks I was doing this and not getting anywhere but felt my body was holding on to the fat as wasn’t eating enough so now eating more protein.

That's not how that works. If you are eating at a deficit, consistently, you will lose body fat over time.

Thanks everyone. Will follow ur advice and log everything. Been doing body pump and spin 5 days over 7 aswell. Think I was hoping to see results quicker than it’s showing so will just need to be patient and stick with it

Body fat is there because this is how your body stores energy in case it needs it in the future. If in the future your body doesn't get the required energy from other sources (i.e. food, drink), the fat stores are converted back into energy. This is how we survive as a species.

This is how you reduce body fat - don't eat enough.

I'm sure you knew this already. Why are your ears bursting?

Thanks. There are bursting because I’m reading so many difference things, eat millions of protein. Don’t eat millions of protein stick to 1200 calories. I was eating 2 protein shakes a day and a healthy dinner, killing myself in classes but I want seeing results. I’ve increased my calorie intake now but kept a deficit.

    Sustainable deficit over time.

Too large of a deficit, no bueno. Too small of a deficit, no bueno. Goldilocks!
