Wondering why my daily protein goal rises if my calorie goal rises e.g. If MFP adjusts for a workout?

All of your macros rise with exercise calories as it distributes those calories in the percentages you have set up3

So if I only want 65g of protein a day regardless of exercise, setting that goal will allow calories to be redistributed to the other macro nutrients?0

I don't know, as setting macros by the gram is a premium feature. But 65 grams is kind of low for someone losing weight...you should eat a bit more than that to help preserve muscle mass while you lose (provided you don't have a medical reason to limit your protein intake).2 -

If you want to stick to a specific protein goal you just need to remember it. 65g is low though - is there a reason you're aiming for this amount?2 -
My quickie research suggests that 1mg protein per kg overall weight is a good target. I run 4-5x per week but I'm not an endurance athlete. Not needing to lose much weight. Have high cholesterol so eating vegetarian and got frustrated with changing protein goal.2

I am a premium member and I set it to grams on the Goals page, yet it still rises with the increase in calories from exercise. Is there some other place I should be setting it, because it really frustrates me to have to try to get over 112 grams of protein each day just because I am more active that day. 112 is hard enough for me to reach each day.0 -

If you know your goal is 112g, just shoot for that and don't worry about what the app says.3 -
On premium you can set how you want exercise calories to be allocated. I'm not currently premium, so can't tell you how, but I recall it being an option.0

I have. But, it doesn't matter. There are other issues I have with the app, and as someone else suggested, I have learned to ignore them.0
