Hi everyone. Like a lot of folks I have struggled with weight issues for years. I would lose some, then gain it back plus more. I would do great until I hit a stuck point and then get mad and then give up. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2011 and in January of this year I was put on insulin. I finally realized that it was time to get serious about my health. I started a low carb high protein diet and have went from 237 pounds down to 197, but I’m stuck again. I don’t want to go back to where I was. I’ve done well enough that I was able to discontinue the insulin and I don’t want to have to go back on it. I would appreciate anyone’s help.

If you are using MFP to track your calories diligently, then you may just be at a plateau. If you are, sometimes it is a good idea to eat at maintenance (instead of a deficit) for a period of time. Like a week or so. There are many studies for and against it. It may be something you could try.

Otherwise, maybe add some exercise if you aren't? Good luck!

Thanks much; I’ll try that. I have been walking since January and I’m now up to two miles a day. I figure that if I keep at it, I’ll get there. Either way, I’m just glad that I’m not where I was.
