Can’t seem to stick with it

Hi I’m back on calorie counting, can’t seem to focus, so I’m going extreme for 2 weeks as have a baby shower & a holiday in 5 weeks & my clothes are screaming! Wish me luck

    Can I wish you had a better plan instead? Unless you have a very large amount to lose going extreme for 2 weeks is more likely to net you an extra pound lost. Does that seem worth it to deprive yourself at an extreme level?

    Unless you have been living under a rock you are probably familiar with the "Serenity Prayer" and even if you are not religious accepting the things you cannot change is always good advice. You can't change that much in 5 weeks so you will do better just accepting it. You might get lucky and drop some water weight which will help your clothes fit better but losing fat at a healthy speed takes time.

    If you tell the good folks in this forum what your idea of dieting is maybe there is a flaw in your thought process that is making your journey harder than it needs to be.

    Well your pic is lovely - you don't look as if you have much to lose! If it's not much then a couple of extreme weeks will probably work. If you need more than a couple of weeks to get to goal then it's easier to follow a more forgiving eating plan based around food you like eating.
