Is this normal after weight loss?

You could say I started as the classic skinny fat guy, high body fat % and low lean mass but I've managed to get down to 170lb from 200lb. I can notice that I seem to have more muscle despite being in a deficit for months, quite a harsh one at that. I'm not sure how to word it, but muscles are kind of popping out/showing without me even flexing. Is this normal?

To build muscle you need to be in a calorie surplus (aside from noobie gains). Dieting is catabolic1
