Sync MFP and iWatch

Exactly how does the sync work? Do the app import the information I track with my iWatch port into the app or am I suppose to try and track that data with MFP? I set all the permissions but I guess I will have to just got the gym and try it out.
I hate Planet Fitness's app cause it is suppose to import the information via WiFi but it does not do it and you have to copy that information in to the app manually. Truly hoping this is not the same scenario.

You'll find the sync is broken though. It tracks workouts fine, but doesn't credit you with extra active cals from your move ring.
So steps, etc, aren't counted.
There are a few threads about this if you search, I encourage you to email myfitnesspal, the more people that do the sooner they'll fix it.
Regards,
