Hello everyone, I’m new to the community side of this app so I thought I would introduce myself. I’m Nikita and I have been trying for years on and off to lose weight. I will be 30 next month and need to get some weight off lots acutally. I joined a class only gym beginning on May and have been working my tail off but I seem to fail on the weekends. I am the only one in my house trying to lose weight so some extra support would be great. Thanks

I highly recommend visiting the Success Stories section and read through some of those... they are inspiring and when I was in the midst of losing my weight last year, they really helped. I also only kept/keep MFP friends that are actively logging and interacting. <~~ The social aspect is HUGE too. It helps with the support you are missing on the home front. My family did not join me on my lifestyle change and even today... there are times I eat completely different from them. You have to be determined and focused, but you can do it!! I lost over 100 lbs from Jan 11 last year to Sept 15th ~ 8 months and 4 days. I simply got off of the couch, started utilizing MFP and ate healthier and appropriate portions. You've Got This!! It's a daily struggle, but once you start seeing the weight come off... it will quickly become an addiction of sorts too.0
