Calories burned from steps

Ok so today I’ve taken over 13k steps (didn’t exercise today) and it gave me 115 calories for those steps. Does that seem about right?
I have my settings at sedentary with losing 1 pound a week. I had my settings at lightly active with losing 1 pound a week, but I wanted to try something that a few others I’ve talked to have been doing. They set their activity level at sedentary and then let MFP calculate up the calories burned from their steps and then eat back all the extra calories they were given. So my calorie allowance is 1250 then I was given a extra 115 calories for my steps taken so total calories eaten today is 1365.
Granted I’m not a sedentary person, I mean I have hours throughout the day where I do have to sit at my computer for our business we run. But other then that I’m up doing something. Chores, taking our dog for a hour walk etc. I’m steadily taking 10k to 15k steps every single day. On days I do exercise I take closer to 18k steps.
If I have my activity set to lightly active it puts me at 1460 calories and then I would only eat back half of my calories from steps or from exercise.
I’m ok eating at 1365 calories, but I don’t want to under eat by to much.
Any insight would be appreciated

Sedentary + the adjustment should be equal to lightly active + a smaller adjustment, so you should be eating the same amount of calories
You might need to resync your tracker to get a better number0 -

Makes sense. When I was set to lightly active I was at 1460 calories and would still get 100 to 123 extra calories for 13k steps. I was thinking it seemed a bit low.
Last year I lost 44 pounds through diet and exercise. I ate at 1330 a day and worked out 3 to 5 days a week, BUT I wasn’t no where near as active as I am now. Last year I steadily lost 1.5 to 2.5 pounds a week.
This week I lost 2.3 pounds. But then next week I may only lose 1.5. It varies. Which I think is water fluctuations.

Good job being careful not to eat too little.
What tracker are you using?
I ate back 75% of my Fitbit Charge HR calories while I was losing most of my 80 lbs, and lost quicker than my goal rate, so I really should have eaten back more.
I've since maintained goal weight for 2 years eating back 95% of my Fitbit/Garmin calories, so they're very accurate.Ok so today I’ve taken over 13k steps (didn’t exercise today) and it gave me 115 calories for those steps. Does that seem about right?
Is that counting the calories it took off for your sedentary calorie activity level?
I have MFP set to sedentary too.
Yesterday I did 13,000 steps and Garmin gave me 1644 kilojoules (393 calories) for exercise.
Garmin sent those calories over to MFP.
MFP then deducted 150 kilojoules (35 calories) which are what counts as a sedentary day and are already included in my base calorie goal.
So I earned an extra 1503 kilojoules (340 calories) for doing a total of 13,000 steps walked.
Hope that helps.
ETA: I'm 176 cm / 5 foot 9.5 inches tall, and 64 kg / 141 lbs.
