    $3.61 San Fernando valley & Santa Barbara
    $3.89 in Westside LA

    Cheaper than it was earlier this year in February $4 to $4.89

    $2.89 for mid-grade; $3.19 for premium per gallon here on the Texas coast.

    It's 58 cents/gallon in PA, #1 in the nation.... 3.05 here in Erie, it's been great putting $65 a week in my Tundra.

    I got gas in my car today, and I have no idea what it cost. I'd have to agree with the people that never pay it much attention. I have to get it regardless.

    Not exactly. You always have a choice of food (and the cost). Gas is what it is, and costs what it costs.

    I paid $0.12 less per litre for gas yesterday, using gas buddy. Yes we need it but we have choices to an extent of how much we want to pay still. Considering I fill up at least twice a week, I care how much I am paying.

    Of course we care. I care. But if I'm on empty, I'm filling up, 12 cent difference or no. My point was that theres a big difference in choice between what you pay to eat and the gas that goes in your car. I appreciate frugalness and I'm the same.

    Considering in Canada we pay per litre I saved $6 and change. I fill up twice a week, so that’s about $50.00 savings per month. Yeah if you’re saving say $0.12 per gallon it doesn’t really make much sense to drive out of your way to get gas because it’s cheaper on the the other side of town. In my case it does. But gas is ridiculously cheap in comparison in the states anyhow. I can cross the border, fill up and even with the conversion rate it was still worth it.

    Oh yeah, gotcha. Yeah, your guys gas is quite a bit more than here in the US. I have been up to Montreal a couple times and always tried to fill up in New York State before crossing.

    The only people I know who drive so sparsely live in glittering cities with arresting skylines and cosmopolitan attitudes with 24 hour laundromats. I mean these are people walking around with neck sweaters. And those sweaters are pastel. But you said you live in the desert with the cacti and rattlesnake cowboy boots and stuff. I watched that movie Casino.

    I'm a homeboy.

    ..... and I've never worn a sweater around my neck. Never.

    Nah, most everything I want or need is within a 10 minutes drive (or less).

    It's all pretty much walkable and sometimes I just hop on a mountain bike to run errands.

    How anyone can adapt to commuting for hours every day is beyond me.
