I started out wearing a 18/19 pants, and a size 3 at maurices for shirts... I am now wearing a size 12 pants and size xl shirts at maurices... and evenyone keeps talking about how "skinny' I am...
Why do I still feel like a Chubby Wubby when others are calling me a Skinny Minny?? I still feel the same as I started but yet I dont recognize myself when looking in the mirror at the gym?

i see you wearing scrubs..i've had the same issues..scrubs can how we actually look..so when i was 140 lbs, big for me, everyone told me the same thing.
i would just ignore them, as they will never understand your goals. even now as i am 120 lbs, a healthy weight, i still work my tail off for a certain body type i want..basically a figure body (muscular)..people just assume all we women want is to lose weight on the scale, not to shape our bodies to what we want.0 -

Do you measure? If so draw circle of you old measurement then one of your new one, sure you,ll see an amazing difference! If you don't measure then go along to the supermarket and get together bags of potato's equal to your loss and check out the size of that! Helps to have a visual- take a pic!0

Its the same thing for me. Ive gone down from a size 14 to a size 8 (soon to be 6) and a small or medium shirt. Everyone tells me how skinny im getting (I lost 43 pounds), and I still feel chubby, and dont feel any different. Its weird. I know I lost it, but I dont feel it.....0

I absolutely agree - we *need* visuals to remind us of how far we have come. I started a thread a little while ago, which you may find useful. Lots of people do! It's a smiley, happy thread!

Plus, it's really fun to find things which weigh as much as we've lost. I had no idea for example, that some baby buggies (strollers) weigh 17lbs, so when I was at that stage, it sort of blew my mind a bit to think I'd lost that much!
Congrats on losing 69lbs Jessica.....that's the equivalent of this mobility scooter!

We all need them from time to time! It's one of the many cool things about MFPs - the ability to boost each other and remind us that we're doing well!0
