Started road cycling since October 10th, 2017 till present and have lost 54lbs at a steady pace. My goal weight is to be 135lbs at a height of 5 foot 9 inches (175cm). My diet started off as eating till my stomach gets full one meal a day and mainly vegetables and lean protein till about 180lbs. Things started to get hard so I started counting calories and it turns out even with exercise 3-5 times a week at my height and weight I can only eat 1600 calories a day if I were to lose 2lbs a week. I learned quickly that I'll always be hungry and the calorie count per day would be less and less as I lost weight. I'm still eating once a day and fasting for 24 hours while exercising 3-5 times a week but now I only eat 1500 calories a day. It has been really hard and the fight isn't over yet 21lbs to go wish me luck. Hope to be 135lbs by September 30th, 2018 or at least in the high 130s.

Weight loss shouldn't really been seen at as a fight, those who do that have a tendancy to gain weight back. "Fought" my way down around 100 lbs myself, but one has to look into lifestyle choices eventually anyways. If one is struggling with hunger perhaps it's a good idea to change ones diet, such as by looking into the food palatability of what one is consuming.

wow.. i'm you're height and i'm at 150 now..it is my goal weight. I'm pretty happy at this weight. I too wonder about the calories if i where to lose more.
..i do a different eating plan where i don't count...but i just don't know if I could eat super low calorie forever..or even go to a lower weight.

I admire your dedication and how hard it is to achieve what you've done. Best of luck to you.

Thanks. The super low calorie eating plan is only hard for the first month. Once you get used to eating low calorie it'll become a habit. Of course you will still be hungry unless you are eating vegan burritos and things that fill you up. We all know it's hard to make such foods at home and it usually becomes more bland like grilled chicken salad, fruit and some brown rice. I'm going for 135 lbs for cycling specifically to have a hill climbers power to weight ratio. Most climbers with my height are about 135-140 lbs and I've read on cycling forums that the lowest I can go with my height is 125 lbs and any less I should see a doctor. So i figure 135 lbs base weight would be a good area to stop and when I eat anything for the day i'll be about 140-142 lbs for the day.
