Done with excuses!

I just turned 21 in January and I’m finally ready to get healthier for myself. I have anxiety and depression, and since I was 17 I’ve had a lot of traumatic events happen. I was hiding behind my depression and using at an excuse to be lazy. I also have a goal this time which will hopefully continue to keep my fire lit. Anyone else have similar stories or experiences?

Mine don't necessarily count as traumatic, but between child birth, divorce, house foreclosure and a few other things, I got so down that I didn't give a duck. Binge eating, there I went. It takes time to get out of that, but it's possible.. for me, I got a food scale and started logging. I didn't get active. I didn't start doing anything extra other than weighing and logging my food and the weight started coming off.
Good luck with your adventure! You're so young.. you have so much life ahead of you. Go into it as fit as you can be!0 -
Anxiety and depression hit me at my worst, and I cane through the other side by focusing on fitness and health! Good luck0
