Zumba class at a gym or Zumba on DVD at home?

I recently started Zumba classes at my gym and I LOVE it!!! It's constantly a good workout and it's always different because my gym has many different instructors that all have unique routines. I'm just curious what people think about the DVDs or other ways of doing Zumba at home. I've never done it at home before but, I am a teacher and since school is about to start and I'm about to get very busy I am wondering if I should try and do it at home a few days a week or if I should stick to it at the gym? Which do you think is a better workout?

I've never done a Zumba class, but I do have Zumba for the Wii and I love it. I've heard mixed responses from people about it, but for me, it's great. The only down side to it is in the training mode. It can move a little quickly for some people. Apart from that though, I absolutely love it. :)

Hey. Ive been going to zumba classes for 18 months now and love it! Def beats the dvds. The songs change regularly and working in groups is so much more effective! You cant beat the atmosphere and the fun you get in a class in comparison to working out at home! Stick to classes and use it for some 'me' time!

I have the DVD's and I love them because I can fit a DVD into my schedule. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the DVD's. The 20 minute DVD is great for when you're short on time or want to get a quick workout in before work (which is what I've done in the past and will be starting again myself this week.)

I haven't been to a class because of my work schedule.

I got mine from zumbafitness.com and they just came out with Zumba Exhilirate on DVD. They do post video clips of the routines on the site.

I think both are great workouts, but it is like me with my Turbo Kick...I can either go to a class or teach a class at a gym since I am certified, or I can stay at home and do the DVD Turbo Kick workouts. Both are great, but the class is much more high energy and I burn more calories in the class. But you can still get an awesome workout in your livingroom.

I prefer the live classes for the variety and the companionship of working out in a group setting. To me there really is no comparison!
