Hi everyone
Like many on here my weight has been up and down over the years (mainly up). I have to have a good reason, support and most of all a deep sense of motivation to lose weight. My motivation this time is to feel comfortable in my clothes and to drop a dress size for a wedding I've been invited to this September (hence the 5 months). If I feel like giving up I just look at some of the nice dresses I can get into if I stick with it

You should be able to do it, I’ve been here since February and am less than 1lb from a stone but I’m unfortunate in that my body stays the same during my tom and then only loses about 0.5lb the week after so I only get good losses twice a month. I’ve upped my exercise though cause my next goal is to lose at least another 9lbs by June. Good Luck, feel free to add me if you’re in need of motivation.1

Thanks Kel
I meant to add more to my original post but it cut it off for some reason??
I meant to add that I have set myself mini goals to try and help me stay motivated.
My starting weight as of 2 weeks ago is 13 stone 10lbs
My first goal is to get to my pre pregnancy weight (third child...) of 13 stone 3lbs by beginning of June
My second goal is to get under 13 stones by beginning of July
My third goal is to get to 12 and a half stone by end of August...
anything more than that is a bonus!
What are your motivations? Do you have any mini goals/timescales?
My ultimate goal is to get to 11 stone but this is a goal i'm aiming to reach some time in 2019. I have the extra incentive next year as I am getting married myself towards the end of 2019

I’m 13 stone 8, I was 14 stone 8 when I started in February so making progress. My next goal is to see a 12 as my starting number in time for my sons birthday in June even if it’s 12 stone 13 and hopefully be down to 12 stone by the end of August. I have no idea how much I’d like to lose altogether but I would like to get close to the size I was before my little people arrived which was a 10/12.0

@kelMee2 and @jepo27 - I have similar goals to you both. I started at 13st 11 in mid-May and I am down to 13st 4. I hope to be 12st 10 by my birthday in mid-August which would put me back into the overweight bmi (I’m 5ft5).
My target weight is 10st 10, but I am trying to break it down into smaller goals so I don’t get disheartened!
Seeing that you’re both smashing your goals gives me hope! Well done1 -
Hi @potatowhoruns I started at this at 13 stone 8lbs in April and weighed in this morning at 12stone 12lbs you will definitely meet your target if you stick with your calories. I started logging at the end of feb and was 14 stone 8lbs and now I’m 4 lbs away from a 2 stone loss something I thought I’d really struggle to do. I’m 5 foot 3 and hoping to get Down to a size 10 so not totally set on weight but I think to get there I’ll need to get down another 2 stone. I’m hoping to see an 11 on the scale by August and be close to my goal size by Christmas.

Thanks @kelMee2. What is your weekly deficit? I have set mine as 1 pound a week and try not to eat back all my exercise calories (I don’t always manage that). I have my Fitbit synced up but haven’t got enough data to know if it gives an accurate burn.
Nearly 2 stone in 3 months is amazing!0 -
@potatowhoruns I did have mine set to 1lb a week to begin with because I was a complete binge eater I didn’t want to set myself up for failure by setting it to high. After a while I discovered that I wasn’t managing to eat all my calories so a few weeks ago I set it to 1.5lbs a week which for me is 1200 calories a day and I feel this is enough now to fill me up and stops me eating the wrong foods. My exercise calories are usually between 100 and 300 calories a day but on the days I haven’t done exercise I eat 100 calories less if that makes sense. I eat a lot of salads and stir frys and still have some kind of chocolate every day so I haven’t deprived myself of anything and I think that’s why it’s working for me.0
