Getting back on track

Hi!
I went on holiday about a month ago and came back home one week ago. I dont seem to be able to stick to my diet or even going to the gym anymore.
I have lost all my motivation after the holiday. I was feeling great and starting to get leaner and even see my abs before them and really wish to get all of that back. But how?
I need some serious motivation to get back to my healthy habits.

Maybe your diet was too strict and that is why you are resistant. Keeping it simple and eating the kinds of foods you enjoy normally makes it easier to transition on and off.

Before the holiday i was eating 1700kcal a day which gave me lots of choices for what i wanted to eat, that was good. I am really struggling to eat proteins this past week.

What's your protein goal? What foods high in protein do you like?

Maybe try protein shakes and eating whatever way comes naturally until you can transition back. There is no rule that says you have to be in a hurry. I, personally, find putting more pressure on myself makes it harder.

Protein goal is 130-140 g a day. I'm eating about half of it. I used to have my protein shakes but i dont even feel like that now. It's true that the few days I tried to diet i eat 1300 kcal to bounce back from a little weight I've put on while on holiday but it's was just 3 days out of 7 ....

130-140 grams of protein is a lot. You don't need that much protein. That much protein creates an imbalance in your diet. I can understand that you're struggling.

I think you know you shouldn't try and bounce back by limiting your eating. You only did it for 3 days so no harm done.

I don't know your lean body mass but that is a lot of protein. If you are eating half, assuming you are normal size, that should be enough for now.

I always read and heard that for building muscles you have to eat 1g of protein per lbs of body weight. Therefore, that amount of proteins.
I dont do cardio just weight lifting and that is the best thing i could have ever done. I really enjoy it.

It is .06 to .08 per lb of lean body mass not your total weight. It might be more if you are looking to build muscle but you can't really do that while also trying to lose weight.

Well maybe i should have started saying that i am on the weight i want to be and my goal now is to get the leaner the better. I might have put a couple ok kg on while on holiday but I'm sure that will go away
