Pilates and yoga recommendations

I currently train around 4 times a week with a mixture of cardio and lifting but would like to weave in one or two sessions of yoga or Pilates to improve my flexibility and core strength. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fairly challenging instructor who has videos available on YouTube that I can do at home? My gym unfortunately doesn’t offer these classes at the moment.

Thanks so much

Recommend anything by Tandy Gutierrez: http://www.matandkitchen.com/

One of her best intro videos, only 30 minutes, is available free on YouTube:

I use Marie winsor there is a full set of 7 cds on you tube the 1st one teaches you the basics, a bit boring but essential to watch as it teaches you correct breathing and positioning. You can then progress through the others at your own pace.
    Good luck

Pilates Anytime app, it’s a subscription (not free) but there’s a free trial period and a gazillion classes.

Personally, I adore Cole Chance for yoga. She was with YogaTX and then started travelling the world. Started Om Yoga Tribe, still posting videos, really cool, chill vibe.

For Pilates, I've not really delved too much into it, but if you can get past the constant perkiness, Cassey Ho of Blogilates is a fantastic motivator. She has plans set up, constantly putting out videos. Some are full work outs, some are 5 - 10 mins long. There is a good part of her programs for free on YouTube and on her web-site, and there is also some paid features, depending on how deep you are wanting to go into a plan.

I would recommend Windsor Pilates. You can find a bunch of the workouts on YouTube. The workout focused on buns and thighs can be killer!

Definitely watch videos first to learn proper techniques and posture for safety, but once you are comfortable with that, pinterest is an excellent resource for workout guides and maps for pilates and yoga.
