Well - I've almost finished my 30 days just 10 days to go. Still feeling pretty good with the program. This week I hope to move into level 3. I'm most impressed with my increased upper body strength and toning.

Today's Weight: 138.5 (Lost 1 lb last week)
Goal Weight: 138 (I should be able to reach it)
Waist Today: 29.5 (Lost another inch!)
Workouts last week: 5 - I did complete my 4 shred workouts but didn't get the other 2 completed.
Workout Goal - 4 (level 3 shreds) + 2 Power 90s

  • I just started the 30 day shred last week only did 2 so far. Are you supposed to do this everyday? Have you lost allot of weigh with it? Sorry to be so nosy but I really like it but it seems like 20 mins won't cut it...

I really do think it is working. I try to do it every other day. Since starting the shred(3 weeks ago) I've lost over 8 lbs and about 2.5 inches from my waist. There are some shred people that have HRM and I'm amazed at what they burn in the 20 minutes. Well, I guess not really amazed since I'm huffing and puffing my way through it.

Just got the dvd on Sat. and did level 1 this morning. Great workout! My goal is to do it 6 days a week. Take Sundays off.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I have a love/hate relationship with the Shred. But luckily I'm seeing the improvement in strength and tone so I keep chugging along.

Not right now but I'm trying to find a mid level race (10K or more) for late spring. I'm all about the shirt. Considering the race to Climax or Run through Hell:laugh:
  • Hi everyone!
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, but i've come down with a nasty cold and pretty much slept a lot yesterday.

I haven't been doing the shred as much as I would like, but I have been exercising! But I have lost some lbs.

    Last Week Weight: 159
    This week: 155
Goal (which i am never going to make now, but i'm still trying!!!): 145 (by the 23rd.)
More realistic Goal: 153 by the 23rd.
    Workouts last week: 2 Shreds, Level 2 (Killer!:noway: ), 4, 30-45min. eliptical at gym.

So my work outs rocked, and I was so hoping to just continue with them, but then got this darn cold on Sat. and I didn't work out yesterday and haven't decided if i'm up to working out today. We'll see. I don't want to over-extend myself and do my body worse, ya know?

i'm kinda bummed about my weight, but I'm going to talk to my doctor about me not being able to get below 153. I've been trying for a long time, and it just seems like my body says nooo way. But I know that I have fat to lose, i'm not the healthiest that I want to be. oh well, i'm still going to keep up with all the good exercise, hoping that at least my muscles will get stronger!
One more week to go!!!! (even thought i'll probably start a new goal after this one!) Keep up the good work!

laurabelle - sorry to hear you caught a bug. I had been thinking about you. Definitely check with your doctor you could be having a thyroid issue.

Okay so I did level 3 today. Sort of - I keep telling myself remember what day 1 of level 1 or level 2 was like. I struggled with several of the exercises but sometimes that is just learning delay. I do know that I've got to get new handweights because mine don't fit my handle well enough to use in that plank dumbell row kick back thingy. All the jumpy stuff bugged me too. I honestly do understand what she is saying about the nature of the exercise but boy do I feel like dead weight when I try to do those.

What is the 30 day shred?
  • Last week 172.5
This week: 172 (woo hoo for -.5)
Workouts Last week: 7 days - 30 day shred, plus 4 days 30 minute thigh exercises
Workouts This week: 5 days - 30 day shred (3 days level 2, 2 days level 3), 2 days elliptical for 1 hour
Week Goal: 170 (crossing my fingers!)

I'm feeling stronger now, I can actually do a push up! I haven't actually done a push up completely and did all of them today! I was so proud of myself! That's huge accomplishment for me because I have NO upper body strength. I think I'm going to invest in some heavier weights now too. Maybe 4 pounders!

Cheated and weighed myself today! Woo Hoo! I reached my 30 day goal of 138!!!!!!

The day after my first level 3 and I am seriously feeling it in my hamstrings and glutes. It must be those explosive lunges and squat jumps. I'm most happy with the upper body strength improvement and my abs are really starting to look like abs. I can't wait to see the changes after a week on level 3. My husband wants to take me clothes shopping so obviously the results are showing.

CONGRATS!!!!!:flowerforyou: Way to go! That's so awesome that you made your goal, and i agree with your husband, you need to reward yourself with new cloths!

BTW, i'm thinking it might be a thyroid issue with me too, it runs HEAVILY in my family. Thanks for the thoughts!

I have done 4 days of video so far since Feb 3, and lost 2 pounds this week. I also have done BL Boot Camp 4 times since then as well. Somewhat slacked off this past week, but planning to get back into it starting tomorrow. Working on level one of shred and week 1-2 of boot camp.
