Muscles Twitching

Does anyone else experience muscles twitching after lifting weights (like, later that day or the next day)? It's not like a full body thing but I'll feel a specific muscle in one arm or leg twitching after a workout. It can last for a few minutes and then go away, or be sporadic throughout the day. Thanks.

I have had muscle twitches before, but I never noticed it in correlation to when I would lift. Mine seems to be from hydration or stress. If I do not drink enough water, I have noticed that my muscles will twitch, particularly my quads.0

Yes. When I first started, or when I start up again after a period of not lifting, my muscles twitch a lot more than usual. But muscle twitching is not unusual for me0

they do for a bit after a really difficult aerial yoga class or a hard long run0

This happens to me if I don't properly stretch or hydrate. I've had my entire quad quiver like someone is smacking the sides of it before - such an unpleasant feeling. Also happens to my eyelid if I'm massively underhydrated.1

It could be you are low in potassium. This is one of the symptoms. Bananas, avocados and white beans all have a lot of potassium in them. Try to see. The only reason I know about this is because a family member was experiencing the same thing and it was due to a potassium deficiency. Maybe yours is not however.0

Wow, I did not realize there was any connection between the twitching and hydration level. Thanks for the responses; I will look out for this!0
