I'm a 36 year old FtM trans person. I've been trying to lose 50 lbs since I had my last kid. Long story. I've bounced between 190 and 200 for 9 years. I joined a focused support group and told my story there. They told me eat less you will lose. I have tracked my food intake most of these years and still do not lose weight. Am I crazy or is there more to it than just watching what you eat? I'm tired of being hungry and still fat.

Dial it in. Start measuring, counting and weighing your food until you can eyeball your portions. This will work unless there's some underlying thyroid or other metabolic condition that could be holding you back. But dial it in, start there.

You are not crazy, at least someone else is telling you that. Research "Keto" and see if it is for you. That might be what you are looking for. As someone who has had similar struggles(by no means over), I can totally relate to the feeling of being crazy when you know you are literally doing your best. Good luck, hope this helps.
