I like soccer because it's a game of chance. The odds are usually stacked against the house and in favor of the player.1 -

What do you mean they didn't qualify? This is the World Cup. They are part of the world. That makes no sense.
Why would Mexico not be good enough? That's a mean thing to say.
Go and do some research on the world cup lol at least k ow what your talking about if you start a thread haha
I KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT SOCCER!0 -

.... now if they could only build a decent car.
Are the French even a threat? Have they ever even won a soccer game?0 -

Unless you pay off the referees.
I thought the referees had to pay the both coaches for the privilege to referee? At least that's what I have to do when I referee.0 -

The problem with the French is once they start hitting you with the baguettes they don't stop.2 -
I have all the games set up to record. Spain or Argentina would be my favorites.1

With America being out this time around, I will be rooting for Brazil. My love for futbol aka soccer started in high school when a foreign exchange student that became my friend was from Brazil and of course a HUGE fan. We got up at 2 or 3 am to watch Brazil play in 2002, seeing his passion eventually got me to love the game!
After Brazil, probably Germany or Sweden because I am part German and Sweden. After that, South Korea, because I have a weird loyalty to them as they were my favorite underdog team on FIFA World Cup 2002 for the PS2 lol.1 -

My boys and I have been debating who to cheer for since we’re out. The one thing we can agree on is that we’d like Panama to lose every match. So many players that we dislike on that squad.
I still haven’t settled on one team as my favorite. Germany’s Euro team in 1996 is what got me hooked on the sport, so they’re an easy team to choose, but seem almost TOO easy to pick. I want to see Egypt do well because it’s impossible not to love Salah. I find Iceland and Sweden (even without Zlatan) fun to watch, as well. The 11 year old has chosen Belgium to win it all, while the 7 year old can’t decide between England and France.0 -

I picked Iceland-Japan in the final for my office pool. Did I do good? Let me know what day/time David Beckham plays, thanks!1

Always a Germany fan..not just because they won last time; they are always so damn close nearly every world cup & were waaaay overdue for a win. Ironically, I did not get a chance to watch last time's world cup (head deep in some books studying for exams/certification). Awsome balance of players, offense, & defense...my favorite team to watch everytime1

However, I think Russia is winning the World Cup right now.
It's suspicious because the World Cup is in Russia. Hmmmm....0 -

I am not sure who will win but am pulling for Sweden and Iran since that is where my parents are from. I usually root for the USA.2

I find it humorous that many players that play for associations aren't even citizens (born or raised) there. Hey, money is their "relative" in that country. Anyway, I don't care for soccer because scoring takes forever. At least in hockey you watch guys hammer each other and not flop on every little touch.
