Am I following the Keto plan properly?

Hey guys!

I started Keto 3 days and it’s very easy, almost seems too easy. I was wondering if someone could look over my diary and see if I am doing it properly.

Thanks!

You’ll need to open your diary so people can see it :-) it’s currently set to private :-)

What did you enter for your MFP stats? You are showing eating ~1000 calories below your limit.

My weight and that I am semi active a day (second lowest level). my activity at work is gonna be sky rocketing soon. I’ve been getting full so I don’t eat after that

What did you choose for losing per week?

Height, weight, age, male or female, and goal weight?

    2 pounds per week.
    6-1
    340
    26
    Male
    195 weight
I don’t care how long it takes, so no real rush

When you eat 1000 calories less than your goal you are increasing your calorie deficit and instead of losing 2lbs per week you are set to lose 4lbs per week. That is too steep of a decline. No harm done because it has only been 3 days but going forward you will need to add more calories to your diet and if you are getting full you may need to replace some lower calorie items with higher ones.

I would try to make sure you hit your protein goal, Around 150g seems pretty reasonable for a guy your size. Going too low could affect how well you hold onto your lean tissue, especially in the early days of keto.

Otherwise what you are doing seems to make sense. When you are less hungry you drop fats and when more hungry possibly add protein and fats.

I would trust your appetite as much as possible, within reason. For your size, I probably wouldn't go any lower calorie than you already have.

    Good luck.
