At what point do you start weeding out your MFP friends who aren't active..??...I have several who haven't logged in for 10 - 17 days...Each time I get a message stating that, "such and such hasn't logged in for ____ days", I type a note of encouragement...Any suggestions, ideas...???...Thanks..!!... :flowerforyou:

haha I guess I don't have enough friends to have that problem LOL :D

I've noticed longest one of mine I've seen came up to maybe 5 days.. Hmm I dunno give them 2 or 3 weeks? Def not over a month, we should be using the trackers here they're so pivotal at least for me to keep track of what I'm doing

I only have a very few friends but I give them a week and after sending a message saying hi and seeing how they are doing, if they don't reply I usually delete them. One thing I do though is keep a few people who started around the same time as me but aren't as active or already stopped, I keep them on for motivation to NOT quit. :)

I don't think 10-17 days necessitates "weeding". You don't know what's going on with them. I dropped off for 2 months when my mom died. I've been back about 6 weeks now. If they haven't logged in for, say, 6 months or something, then maybe...

haha weirding ur friend garden... I took that to mean "your friendly area between ur legs"..... lmao..
    never mind.

I delete them after they havent logged on for a month.
Unless iv gotten to know them very well.
Or there on holiday, or their computer is broke, etc...

Great question... I have a few who have been gone for a month plus, but have still kept them on my friends. One came back last week and I was excited to see that she was back on. I would have not known if I had taken her off my list.

I think you if you posted/messaged with him/her and can remember things about them, then I would personally keep them and still encourage them to come back. If it is someone you didn't have much contact with then I would wait longer, like a month or two.

I deleted the ones that havnt logged on for over 20 days. If they come back they can find me again. My SO who joined here the same time as me hasnt been on in 19 days, I should delete him tomorrow. lol I am not getting any support form him anymore, he must think he is finished.. tsk tsk
  • I'd wait till the end of August just to be sure they're not on vacation. I didn't log when I was.

Once in awhile I'll go through my list... if I find that someone I don't really know and never had much interaction with has not logged in for more than 2 months, I'll delete them.

i don't worry about it, i'm not at the maximum friend wise and eventually the reminders go away.
